Everything is interpreted as a "threat" to the current administration, science, judges who don't rule their way, any thoughts not approved and so on. It's just their method of silencing any opposition they want to intimidate.

In many ways Trump and the GoP are the ultimate "snowflakes" where any word or phrase they even think they don't like is terribly offensive.
