I assume supercomputers use a significant amount of energy. So putting it in space must be extremely expensive to do and operate.

Article doesnt seem to say what it does; and why putting it in space would be useful. I asked chatgpt and it's saying training ai models off earth. you have to collect data off earth, but you can train ai models anywhere.

It seems to me they launched satellites with lots of power but no real reason. Therefore im concluding space lasers.
