I miss when people did this, instead of writing in stunted sentences as ostentatious engagement-bait. You don't need to make a new line every time you take a breath, it's okay to put a paragraph or two on the page. We're adults, we can handle it. Flooding an article with newlines tells an educated reader that you are either writing poetry or refuse to respect standard information density.
