Good question. It probably depends on the overall political power of the tech companies using that datacenter. The alternative of course would be to build out the grid which is easier said than done. Costs aside many of the components used for the grid come from China and relations are already getting sketchy and some of those components can't even be moved any more such as giant transformers where roads and access have changed over the decades and wil require a new design. And that is just the grid, not what is feeding it. There are political obstacles to new power plants and renewables only go so far as parts of EU have discovered. I think it's going to get really interesting.
