I would never understand developers talk with such deference about Apple. This section was unnecessary. I dont know why they had to 'pay respects' to multiple trillion dollar company.
Reminds me of marco.org, who was an active Apple enthusiast, reflecting on his own personal journey of his relationship with the company, and at some point he wanted 'validation from Apple, just like how you want validation from your parents'. He has since realized that Apple is just doing things not because of principles, but just to make money.
