I'm excited to share this project with all of you! The "Why" It all started with a simple personal observation: I realized I often struggled to read subtle emotions on people's faces. Was it a polite smile or a hint of contempt? Was my colleague genuinely happy or simply being professional? This lack of understanding of nonverbal cues can be the root of many misunderstandings, both in personal and professional life. I searched for a tool to practice this skill, but found most of them were either clinical and boring, or simple, low-quality games. I wanted something different: clean, fast, educational, and really fun. So I decided to create it myself. What is CiQuiz? CiQuiz is a simple web game where you are shown a face and have to guess the emotion it is expressing. You get instant feedback and a score out of 10 at the end. This game is designed to help you develop your social skills in 2 minutes. My goal was to create an experience that felt less like a test and more like a challenging challenge. The tech stack: For those interested, this game was developed with a Django backend serving a React frontend, and all static assets are served via S3. Making it fast and responsive was a fun challenge. A special offer for the PH community. The game is completely free to play! I'm here all day to answer your questions, listen to your feedback, and get your scores! I'm especially curious to know: which emotion do you find the hardest to guess? What features would you like to see next? (Daily challenge? Leaderboards?) Thanks so much for giving it a try. I can't wait to hear your thoughts!
