Probably, but security folk are pessimists by nature so we assume it will happen since it's in the job description. We also know that the actual transition to PQC algos will take years.

Yes, but they can get boardroom funding for it now. Your Security Operations Center has a vested interest in keeping everyone in a state of fear, especially when something happens, and notice I didn't say if, nobody wants to be the executive who advocated for cutting the cybersecurity budget.
