What it is

Hit the BANANA button and the server returns a random character. Everyone smashing the button shares one progress bar. Together we’re racing to complete the sentence:

Why I built it

I love the infinite-monkey theorem and wondered what happens if real people “drive” the randomness. It was also an excuse to play with Server-Sent Events for ultra-light real-time, and I wanted to see how it fares on Cloudflare’s edge.

Except for the random monkey, I also extend a collaborative article mode, where anyone can append up to 500 chars per turn, evolving one story in real time.
