Built something to help with panic attacks – what am I missing?

Hi HN,

Several people on our team experience panic attacks, so we built Abler - a simple app to track when they occur, symptoms, and potential triggers.

We know this is deeply personal and varies significantly between individuals.

Looking for honest feedback from anyone with lived experience: what features would make a tool like this genuinely useful? What do existing solutions get wrong?

We are not here to pitch or sell - just trying to build something that actually helps people.

Appreciate any insights.

I had a friend who had panic attacks and I say had because his approach to life led us to not being able to be friends anymore.

My take on his situation was that trying to eliminate triggers destroyed his life because he spent all his effort on avoiding triggers and wasn’t doing anything at all. The more he avoided triggers the more sensitive and easy to trigger he got. This isn’t just my observation, see the relationship between panic and

I think there are some people with a little anxiety who might benefit from some automated CBT but panic disorder is a serious condition that I think needs professional help, hard as it can be to get.
