Show HN: I vibecoded an entire recipe app using Cursor and Expo

https://www.recipeone.app

Most recipe apps fail me. If the creator forgets to paste the ingredients and steps under a tiktok or YT video captions, the app shows nothing. Many also lock basic features behind expensive plans. I wanted something that just works and stays free.

I started with a simple website so people could play before downloading anything. The page uses Gemini’s video analysis and its url context tool. This Gemini awareness of the video is amazing, and it can actually "see" what is happening in the video.

The mobile app came next. It handles TikTok and Instagram in the same way and lets you save each recipe, filter your list, search by name or ingredient, and file everything into cookbooks.

Launch day brought a small App Store boost and a few friends who cook a lot. some of them are already opening the app several times a week.

you should try out the free tool and let me know what you think, if you encounter any broken links, let me know and I will fix them up.
