Great piece. I assume you already know this and I’m not suggesting you’re saying otherwise, but I’d just like to comment that while

“stretching beyond comfort zones is essential for professional development and growth…”

is absolutely true, but there’s a fine line between stretching and pushing too hard. A good manager knows how to challenge their team without burning them out.

Pushing doesn’t mean overloading. Great managers stretch without snapping, by checking in regularly, managing workload, and knowing when pressure is motivating versus when it’s destructive.
