Not sure why people are getting so surprised about any of this. When smartphone cameras became popular, we saw an influx of "amateur" videos being uploaded to the internet. That competed with the more established video makers (studios, TV networks and the like).
Now, smartphone videos are the norm. Did we lose something by going to this world? Maybe, but that's how it goes. There is a crap ton of bad stuff, but there's also good stuff, and that's what we consider now to be the normal.
The same thing will repeat now with AI videos. Will be there absolute garbage AI videos? Yes, most positively. But will there be good ones - I'm pretty sure there will be, and soon that will become the norm.

There’s a huge difference between going from professionally produced real videos to amateur produced real videos and going from real videos to AI videos.
With the former it’s still real video. If anything, the amateur videos would be even more “real” with less editing.
But the AI videos could literally have a well known fact based doctor promoting wellness scams because they simply used AI to insert words in their mouths.
In fact, the “shorts” are basically completely filling up with wellness scams faking AI videos from well known doctors and scientists pushing their scam products.
