Show HN: Built an open-source Wallpaper Engine for macOS

DimKat•7mo ago
Hey everyone, I’m one of two friends who built this

We didn’t plan for this to become a public launch at first - just something we hacked together because we missed Wallpaper Engine after switching to macOS. But then friends started asking for it, and now… here we are.

We tried to keep Wallper as native and minimal as possible. No login, no subscriptions, and nothing running in the background unless the wallpaper is visible.

Would love to hear how it runs on your machine, especially if you’re on something older or multi-monitor. Also happy to answer anything about how we built it, or trade horror stories with other indie devs.

Thanks for checking it out and your honest feedback :)
