A proposed change in "the 5+1 settlement and citizenship policy to 10+1" is putting many good, innocent Hong Kongers — especially those who bravely stood up for freedom and justice — in grave danger.
Hong Kong was a British colony for over 150 years, and the change of sovereignty from the UK to China was in 1997. However, after 2019 social movements, the Chinese Communist Party targeted many Hong Kongers who uphold liberty and democracy.
Many of Hong Kongers gave up everything: their careers, their professions, their property, and even their connection to their original families — all to avoid being controlled by, or forced to accept, the preposterous and oppressive new reality in Hong Kong under the Chinese Communist Party. They made these sacrifices with the hope of living freely and safely.
Now, this proposed policy change sends a terrible signal — that these people are not protected, that they are alone, and that the Chinese Communist Party is free to target and destroy them; even their next generation is the target.
Please, we humbly ask you: stand with them. Sign this petition. It may seem like a small action, but it carries powerful meaning. It tells them they are not forgotten. It tells the Chinese Communist Party that the world is watching and that these lives matter.
