Ask HN: What is your strategy for staying up-to-date with AI developments?

2•erkanerol•7mo ago
As a software developer, I'm finding it a bit challenging to stay up-to-date. My personal time outside of work is quite limited due to my new baby, and yet I see numerous developments happening every day. My position is mostly focused on backend and infrastructure. While I use LLMs and tools like Cursor for coding, I don't actively develop agents or similar technologies in my full-time role. I don't have a strong grasp of the core concepts, problems, and common solutions in this space.

To remain competitive in the job market in the coming years, I need to define a strategy, do some learning, and get some hands-on practice. However, I'm not exactly sure where to start. There's just too much noise.

What is your strategy for this? How do you stay current?

p.s. This can be a good startup idea. If I had time, I would start "Daily AI: Learn with baby steps". I checked so many similar websites but all of them are so high-level or too deep. I need a course for developers. Not only videos, but also hands-on tasks. Not too complex that takes hours but doable in ~25 minutes.

Waste of time. It will all look different by next year. Its just first wave of tools. And lot of it will be thrown in the dustbin of history. Just like the first engines, generators and planes.
