Since csound has been around for a long time, it seems that maybe ChatGPT would have plenty of training data to know how to use it effectively to create video game sound effects.

I don't know of a single modern video game that uses realtime synthesis to generate sound effects. It's all just sample-based now.

I don't want to use samples recorded by others and I don't want to record my own samples.

I would rather just ask ChatGPT to use csound to create sound files.

Do you know how subtractive synthesis works? You are going to be mighty disappointed with the results ChatGPT gives you. There's only so many sound effects you can make with a filtered square wave or frequency modulation.
