It asks us to download the Windows ISO from its website not from Microsoft website. So, it's a NO for me.
praash•7mo ago
The iffiest part is sharing a MS Office license key.

The post fails to mention any overview on what kinds of "debloating" the scripts are supposed to do.

LargoLasskhyfv•7mo ago
https://ntdev.blog/2024/01/08/the-complete-tiny10-and-tiny11... is not their website.

They are just blogging about how they used it.

Like some more reputable site also did:

https://www.xda-developers.com/tiny11-hands-on/

Maybe use that to make up your mind, in spite of the ISO not coming from MS.

Which btw. links to other alternatives like https://github.com/Raphire/Win11Debloat , which does not have the unknown ISO source problem, and a wiki explaining which does what, and how to revert it, just in case.

im surprised anyone still uses windows... happy linux switcher for many years now, couldn't ever see myself going back to that trash, people that are okay with an operating system you purchased putting ads and popups in your face that you purchased and tracks every click you do are the same people that would go back to their girlfriend after she cheated on you for the 15th time in a row...

sorry if that sounds harsh, but it's my genuine opinion.

sym5731•7mo ago
That's true, but if you need to make programs for people using mostly windows you need a windows installation to make tests, otherwise you will distribute untested software
papichulo2023•7mo ago
I thought most people used vms for this, especially on CI.
Bender•7mo ago
I agree with everything you said. I use it for one game and to intentionally have something that makes it appear I am being tracked. I even use Edge, Bing and ask it dumb questions. My goal is to make my masters and their future AI think I am boring and dim-witted which some here would probably just agree with.
specproc•7mo ago
Totally. Took a while to make the switch, but could never imagine going back. It's not like it'll get better.

No idea what the value proposition for the average home user these days.

nicbou•7mo ago
I can't imagine devoting so much effort to staying in the driver seat of the devices I own.
halJordan•7mo ago
Im honestly surprised you felt comfortable claiming surprise that people use Windows. That's an incredible thing to feign, and it has to be feigned
EVa5I7bHFq9mnYK•7mo ago
Or just run w10privacy program after installing windows, takes 5 min, removes all the junk and disables all the spyware.
