Honestly, in any other industry to say the LLM has thoughts and emotions would be framed as fraud and misrepresentation of the product.
But we seem totally fine with companies pumping out lies with LLMs, and oblivious to the effect that has on users.

They need to find a new word for this. You can’t have a relationship with a chatbot just like you can’t have a relationship with a jackpot machine.
