Show HN: Seal.codes – Verify content authenticity right in the browser

https://seal.codes
2•utsavanand2•4h ago
Ever wondered whether an image you see on the web was actually created by the person who posted it?

We built a tool that lets you prove your content is authentic, and it runs right in your browser. No blockchain or complex security systems needed - just QR codes linked to your social accounts.

By doing all the work in your browser instead of our servers, we keep your data private and our costs low. That's why we can offer it for free to everyone.

The QR codes work like old-fashioned wax seals - they show when something's been tampered with. If someone changes the content, the seal breaks automatically.

Try it at seal.codes – we'd love your feedback on this simple approach to digital trust.

Here are some screenshots showing seal.codes in action:

1. Document with embedded QR seal: https://github.com/seal-codes/pitch/blob/main/public/screens... - This shows how the QR code is embedded directly in the document, functioning as a digital seal.

2. Verification process: https://github.com/seal-codes/pitch/blob/main/public/screens... - When someone scans the QR code, they can verify the content hasn't been tampered with and confirm the creator's identity.

Ask HN: How do you handle small translations?
