Just passed 20k (21k) users across 800 diff unis this past month. Super excited, thought i'd share. We applied to YC last year when we only had a few hundred users across our alma maters (Berkeley, Princeton, Dartmouth, Long Beach) and it was a v1.0.0, so we've come a long way through scraps and word of mouth.
We're launching our v2 pretty soon as well, just passed 2800 registrations for it. If you're interested, students eat free, professional version coming soon (must have a work email).
