Ask HN: What Interests You in Crypto?

4•bix6•6mo ago
I did a search for crypto on HN but it's mostly reporting on scams and thefts, which sure I get, but I would love to chat with people on what is getting them excited right now in crypto.

E.g. what do people think of Bitcoin's security, will it ever be "hacked"? Will we see it continue to rise as a global currency?

What do you think of newer solutions like Sol or Sui potentially taking over Eth as the second favorite child?

Will real world assets be meaningfully tokenized? Is every bank going to have their own chain / stablecoin?

What projects or chains are you working on?

Etc.

Cheers in advance!

Lately I’ve been really interested in how meme tokens are evolving beyond just hype. There’s a noticeable shift from saturated ecosystems like Solana to smaller, faster networks where creators have more control and less noise.

It reminds me of early crypto days — more experimentation, less gatekeeping. Curious to see where this momentum heads next.

Interesting, can you expand on the more control and less noise? You’re saying newer networks are enabling capabilities that don’t exist elsewhere?

I'm excited to read about scams and thefts. They all seem so ingenious, requiring all kinds of knowledge. The Axie Infinity Ronin Bridge seems like a great example, but the introduction of new terms like "rug pull", which has a specific meaning, implies that there's a lot of innovation in the scam and heist fields.
