my friend owns a small family shop in India with 5-6 staff. They don't use any software except custom accounting software. Last week I visited his store and saw him writing names on a wall calendar to track which staff is absent or late, for calculation of monthly wages and deduct pay for missed days.

got the idea to build him a simple offline attendance app. used claude and chatGPT to code it in about 60 minutes and published it on the appstore.

sharing here in case other small shop owners need something similar - no internet required, just tap to mark attendance and generate reports, export to csv or pdf.
