Ask HN: Would you still recommend SICP in 2025?

2•dondraper36•2h ago
SICP = Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs

I have read that even the authors of the book admitted regrettably that modern universities have to be focused on jungling black boxes so the course is less relevant.

That said, with all your current experience and knowledge, would you still recommend SICP to a reasonably experienced developer?

Are there better alternatives?
