You’re right — iOS doesn’t allow full background auto-cleaning, but within the app links are cleaned automatically as soon as you paste them, and in the share extension the link is also cleaned instantly when you pick Linkfy (no extra button press). On pricing, fair point — $100 lifetime is probably too high, and I’ll rethink it based on feedback like yours.
