Are you a YouTuber? How do you feel about owning a website?

I'm working on a project that will turn your youtube channel into a website. Low to no maintenance needed - you upload your video and we turn it into a blog post and update your website optimized for SEO. This way, you can focus only on your content. How does this feel?

When I go to a YouTuber’s website, I expect something else there, not the same thing I’d get from going to their channel page.

Your post here says you turn the video into a blog post, but the screenshot on the website made it look like a branded YouTube clone with just the one user’s videos. Was the key points under the video what was added? YouTube has that too now with their AI helper.

If the AI can actually understand the video and turn it into an article. I do know people who would like that. As far as I can tell, YouTube isn’t doing that with its AI yet, nor have I been able to get other generic chatbots to do it. I did it on my own once based on pulling subtitles, reformatting those, and running that through AI to write it better, but didn’t put it together into a single tool.

Got it - when you say turning a youtube video into an article, what do you mean by that? Do you expect to see more in-depth content to be in the article or do you mean having a summary of the youtube video & time table?
al_borland•5mo ago
The content of the video in blog form, essentially. I think about my dad. Most YouTube videos now are 10+ minutes, many of them are creeping up into the 20-40 minute range. He hates watching YouTube videos, but reads the news all day. If I find an interesting YouTube video I think he'd get value from, being able to send him a blog post that covers the same topic, in the same level of detail, would be great.

This is the kind of thing I see from YouTubers who want to drive traffic through different channels. People need to be met where they're at. Some people like videos, others like long-form blog posts, others want the information clipped into Shorts or Twitter/Instagram posts, etc. I think being able to transform content from one person's preferred media delivery method into another's is where the value lies for this kind of thing.

Tim Ferriss sometimes has some good examples of what I'm thinking of what I'm thinking about. In this example[0], there is a YouTube video of the TED talk, with a full blog post/article, and then at the bottom if references 2 books he wrote where this was pulled from and talked about more. If a person wants a video, text, or a full book, this post either has it directly or acts as a funnel to get the person there.

Yeah okay - I agree with you. If that's the case, how do you feel about this as an example?
