Heard about this via The Batch, which has a nice summary: https://info.deeplearning.ai/geminis-environmental-impact-ch...?

very interesting. I had many group zoom interviews during the pandemic by potential manager and peers, and frankly, some seem to have felt threatened by more experience, and sure, some of that was cultural, esp w/foreign born PhDs but... humans are born to be dramatic. So in that respect, I like more objectivity. The real question may be the inevitable potential cultural fit- say after a year or two on the job. As we all love to say, "more research is required" - follow up studies?
