Just like Netlify, it looks like Vercel is now transitioning to a credits-based pricing structure.

Your subscription now only gets you a set amount of credits and you start paying when you go over.

It’s completely unclear what a credit actually is, or how many I’ll need for my projects.

It’s interesting how credits became the default abstraction for usage but without transparent burn rates, they're just tokens of confusion.
