An interesting post about the evolution of human drive.

Interesting concept, but I feel as if the author only goes skin-deep.

"Without the pressure of basic survival, humanity might be forced to confront deeper questions of purpose and meaning."

Has the author been outside on the planet we inhabit? We're nowhere near a place where humanity has removed the pressure of basic survival.

If anyone can read this with a straight face and not think "wow, this is disconnected from reality" I would encourage that person to get into their community and away from their screens.

The world is very very far from post-scarcity, and the only people who think otherwise are knowingly or unknowingly part of the existing issue and likely is blind to their own role.
