Uber Eats Testing Flying Meal Deliveries by Drone Again This Year

I travel often for work and have used the various apps more than I would like.

Uber eats, regardless of the city, has been the worst experience by far of the major delivery apps.

And when problems come up like food never arriving or missing entrees, Uber eats likes to offer something like 1/20th the value of the meal as a "we don't care, but here... go away" response.

Anyway, they've been so terrible they could have free cherub-powered instant delivery and I would never trust them with my food or payment information again. Good luck with the drones, though!

Last week I paid extra for “direct to me”, and I could see the driver stop at the grocery store and spend 30 minutes there, before finally bringing me my cold food. They are clearly driving for multiple services at the same time. I have no real recourse, as the tip is given before placing the order.

I’m tied of paying a pretty extreme premium for sub-par service.

The drones have the potential of fixing one of the issues, the drivers making multiple stops.

I wonder if they could also solve the issue of the restaurants screwing up orders, allowing customers to send back wrong orders to be corrected. Or having the chat be between the customer and the restaurant, instead of the driver, so if they are out of something they can ask what the customer wants, instead of just skipping the item.

My order volume has gone down a lot due to how often things get screwed up, and how long it takes to actually get a delivery now.
