Fly.io is deprecating 17 regions

Don't have much to say here except it seems a bit sad that they're getting rid of all these regions. But then again maybe it'll result in cheaper or better service at the remaining regions.
apitman•4mo ago
Mixing feelings about this. On the one hand a core value proper of fly is managing the complexity of a global deployment for an arbitrary number of regions. On the other hand, if I did want to manage this myself, I would probably stop around ~8 regions because that's all you really need to give almost everyone a low ping.

For my projects that are on fly (https://lastlogin.net/ and https://takingnames.io/) I'm only using 5 regions each, so the only impact for me was moving a machine from gig to gru. It took about 2 minutes to figure out what I needed to do and a couple seconds for the commands to run.
