For those wondering, yep, this would violate conservation of energy law.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perpetual_motion

rich_sasha•4mo ago
Would it violate the laws of conservation of VC capital?

(I have no idea if it's crazy or not but it's irrelevant if someone will fund it)

burnt-resistor•4mo ago
If there's no identifiable net energy input source to point to, then it's a claim of perpetual motion. The Moller Skycar, SpaceX Mars mission, and pigs flying will happen before this.
geraldog•4mo ago
@d_silin no disrespect towards Sonny White, he may well be onto something, but as it stands I've had posts flagged by the mods for much less, so without the hard evidence to back this, I'm a little skeptical - of YC mods LOL

Claiming their chip produces only microwatts and that it could be used to power an EV is pretty funny.
burnt-resistor•4mo ago
I'd like to know what kind of magical Flavor Aid I should add to water served to VCs for them to hand me piles of money to work on something Philip E. Mason will eventually get around to debunking. Or do I just need a Harvard CS degree or 3 EE PhDs and then it's automatic mana from heaven via pedigree?
pepa65•4mo ago
When they talk about the energy extracting capabilities of "their chips" I get very suspicious...
