Show HN: Eventvisor – govern, transform, filter tracked events via remote config

https://eventvisor.org/
1•fahad19•1h ago
Hi folks,

Attempting a new GitOps focused Open Source tool after Featurevisor (https://featurevisor.com), and this time about analytics events.

To highly summarize, Eventvisor is:

- A centralized governance tool for your analytics events

- Remotely controlling how tracked events flow from your apps

- Including filtering, transforming, and sampling them

- Without having to redeploy your apps

- Integrating with multiple first or third-party analytics services

The bigger your product engineering org is, the more likely you will appreciate the workflow it establishes. Depending on where you sit in the hierarchy, the benefits are:

- Product Managers having clarity and influence over analytics events

- Engineering teams made accountable if they are tracking wrong data

- Engineering managers having clear ownership and boundary

- Principal/Staff engineers debugging cross-team apps without redeploying

- Marketing team’s requirements brought into same workflow (think pixels)

- VPs positioning strategically to migrate to/from vendors with ease

- CTOs pushing for ingestion cost savings via filtering and sampling

- Execs having reports they can rely on from Data teams

- Data & analytics teams recovering their receding hairlines (!)

It's very early now, and my focus was just to express the idea I had in my mind as a working solution end to end. It will evolve and get better by the time it reaches v1.0 stable. No ETA for that yet.

Looking forward to hearing your feedback, and use cases where you think it might be useful. Thanks!
