Back in 2020 I built a startup where people in movie theaters could compete with each other on the big screen and earn points in real time. It was all about interaction and shared experiences. Then COVID hit, cinemas shut down, and the project died.
After that, I wanted to apply the interactive mechanic to a global problem, not just entertainment. One of the biggest pain points I kept hearing from teachers, trainers, and business teams was how much time it takes to prepare presentations (often 2–3 hours) and how hard it is to keep audiences engaged. That’s where the idea for Oina came from.
What Oina does: - Enter a topic (or upload a doc), pick the number of slides and tone of voice. - AI generates a full presentation outline in 65+ languages. - Add interactive slides (quizzes, polls, open questions, ratings). - When presenting, the audience joins via QR code (no app required) and interacts live. - After the session, you get analytics (who joined, answers, engagement per slide).
New: web search integration so the AI can pull in fresh information (recent stats, case studies, current events).
What’s different: Most AI slide tools stop at static slides. Oina integrates real-time audience interaction, analytics, and web search — so the content isn’t only well-structured but also up-to-date. It’s built for teachers, trainers, and teams that need feedback during presentations, not after.
There’s a free tier (200 credits ≈ 2 presentations) and then subscription plans. It’s live here: https://oina.ai
I’d love feedback on: - UX: is it easy enough to try without guidance? - Web search: is this useful for your use cases, or would you expect more depth? - Technical thoughts: scalability of handling 100+ live connections per session. - Happy to answer questions about the tech stack, business model, or early traction. Thanks!
