Home cluster. Feedback wanted on i3-n305

1•rdu•2h ago
I was initially looking for a computer to run continuously running - in parallel - multiple symbolic regression programs using genetic programming. Ideally something with at least 20 cores. I considered Mac studios or Epyc servers. But now I’m considering a different approach. As each of my experiment can run well under 32gb of RAM, why not try a nano computer based on the octocore i3-n305? The idea is to first see how thing goes with it, and then grow a cluster of these that will fit my needs if I’m satisfied. I’m interested in having feedback about these machines. The one in my visor right now is hardkernel’s odroid h4 ultra. Has anyone played with it? Is it something reliable enough to compute continuously?
