20 feet of snow in the Rockies, that’s wild. Does that happen? I can believe 5 feet in the Upper Midwest, works out to like 10-15 really solid snow days.
But man 20 feet of snow is almost incomprehensible.

Absolutely happens. Our local ski hill which is _barely_ in the Rockies registered nearly 400 inches of snow in 2022/23. 250-300 is pretty common. They had 110” on the ground at one time.
Definitely there’s more snow in higher places.

400 inches?? This is 10 meters, woooooow. We have maybe half of that in Alps, in major stations!

Are you referencing Eldora?

Vail averages something like 240" of snow per year, which is 20 feet. Wolf Creek usually gets the most snow in Colorado and averages 430" of snow per year, which is almost 36 feet.
