Ask HN: Are guided tooltip onboarding working in 2025?

1•athulsuresh123•3mo ago
I've been working with couple of SaaS companies for the last few years as product designer and I’ve noticed that designers and product managers often go straight for tooltip guided tours as their go to option for onboarding.

Personally I hate them. I see it, I hit next-next-next and somehow end the tour. But later to be stuck on how to get something done in a new software.

Is it just me or your adoption rates that great, just by using these tooltip?
