I'm tired of articles like this. This falls in my "no shit, Sherlock" category of articles. Sounds important but actually tells us nothing we don't already know and haven't known for a long time.

You know what will kill you faster? Not taking your medications, especially antibiotics. You can die next week or die 20 years from now. Take your pick.

Meanwhile, I like to joke with my doctor that she's going to lose this game. No matter what she does I'm going to die someday anyway. She laughs since she has the same morbid sense of humor that I do. Modern medicine isn't about eternal life; it's about extending a good quality life. Sometimes we forget how incredible of a job it has done.
