To me, this focus on the casual, conversational user is a sign that the AI doom scenario where they're replacing everyone with AI, is clearly not on the horizon. I would expect them to be fully tunnel visioned on that goal if it was actually within reach.

It's just that it's more and more obvious that there's no sustainable business model there. The capital requirements are insane, and the revenue is a trickle by comparison. They need a reason to exist, so they're throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks.

Just putting a note here to say I told you so when there is inevitably a leak that’s able to tie individual people back to the horny shit they posted to OpenAI when this launches.

This is going to become a blackmail target 100%.
