Guess Altman and co. need to find a way to pay Oracle that $60 billion a year ...
TimorousBestie•2h ago
This coming on the heels of American erotica writers getting systematically debanked by Visa/MC and friends really sucks. Insane that one can sell a machine trained on copyrighted erotica (without licensing it) to produce reams of machine erotica but one can’t sell actual erotica written by actual human beings.
leakycap•2h ago
The debanking dispute really doesn't have anything to do with AI, does it?

AI seems to be on everyone's mind to fill in the MadLibs of who to blame for what, but I don't see the point in conflating the two here.

TimorousBestie•1h ago
Referring to a human comment as a madlibs is rude.

> anyway, insane that AI caused all this.

AI did not cause the debanking issue, please read more carefully.

The issue is that OpenAI will effectively be able to sell erotica and humans effectively cannot.

leakycap•1h ago
AI launching a feature and the debanking you mentioned are still unrelated, though.
