I read “One of the earliest [press coverage] was a full-page story on the MCS6501 and MCS6502 microprocessors in the July 24, 1975 issue of Electronics magazine” on the 6502 wikipedia page [0], and that led me to find this incredible archive.
The very first issue from 1930 has introductory notes from Edison and Millikan[1].
I hope to find a few pivotal moments in there - the transistor? ads for early PCs? Let me know if you find anything good :)
(I should probably look into the 50th birthday commemorative issue of 1980, it may list some of these famous dates/issues).
