>The CEO’s dealmaking blitz has convinced Silicon Valley’s giants to tether their fates to his company, essentially making it too big to fail

Isn’t using the phrase “too big to fail” just a bit on the nose for the AI bubble we’re currently in?

andsoitis•2h ago
> has convinced Silicon Valley’s giants to tether their fates to his company,

which tech giant has tied their fate to OpenAI? as far as I can tell, they have a selection of AI companies to choose from, and some of the tech giants are very strong in AI themselves.

if you believe this thesis, then you are asserting that if OpenAI fails, the tech giants fail as well ("whether their fates"). I don't buy it.

bdangubic•2h ago
fail? no. lose 20/30/40% of their value? maybe?

> as far as I can tell, they have a selection of AI companies to choose from, and some of the tech giants are very strong in AI themselves.

That's an interesting point.

> if you believe this thesis

What do you think of the evidence in the article?
