Side effects should be predictably annoying from this. Even in opensource reminded of the fact that many Linux distros have instructions banning transfer to official US enemies , by virtue of being primarily US base entities. And with the recent expulsion of Russian maintainers from the kernel, if this goes on for much longer the new didgital iron wall is going up piece by piece. In the long run with isolated development interop is going to be a headache. Hopefully recognised standards are maintained , though with the last time where Huawei got kicked out of the Bluetooth working group and had to go solo on their Nearlink protocol , only time will tell.
