It seems like they are more focused on getting more B's and C's, not having more students fail. So I don't really see why that would be soul crushing

I'm intrigued that for students, enjoying the classes is a high priority. Good on the school if they've been able to have high standards while keeping classes thoroughly enjoyable, but like the workplace it's seemed to traditionally about getting the things done more than liking it.
