I built this app to scratch my own itch, as I always struggled with a cluttered Gmail inbox and sometimes missed important emails within my Updates or Social tab.
I always felt jittery about using other apps, because almost all of them use OAuth for gaining access to a user's Gmail account. The OAuth token essentially means the app owners could do anything with my emails - read, delete, send on my behalf. I wanted to build something that worked without OAuth and created Clear Mail that simply executes javascript locally to declutter user's Gmail inbox.

The burning question I have is: How important is privacy for you when it comes to your email? Would you prefer something that runs locally, or do you trust the established apps that use OAuth, since they’re already widely used? Thanks!
