I built defect.report - a lightweight web app for creating detailed, structured bug reports entirely client-side.
Everything runs locally in your browser for full privacy - no backend, no tracking, no data stored anywhere. You can export the report as a PDF, single HTML file, or copy it to your clipboard to paste into email, Slack, or any issue tracker.
I made this to help QA testers and small dev teams standardize bug reports without needing Jira, Notion, or any other heavy tool.
It’s also useful for students, beta testers, or anyone who wants to describe a problem clearly.
I’m curious to hear if you find this kind of tool useful, and how it could be improved.
Thanks!
