With the internet and now Ai I would think that all languages other than mandarin and English are at risk of being swamped. Like Fortran, there will be something called English but there’s no guarantee we’d recognize it. Maybe Hindi-Urdu would fight mandarin for the non English language but they need more economic growth to be fully successful.
