After a lot of work, I'm thrilled to announce that MyChefGPT.com is officially live and ready to take your cooking recipe requests!
I built this because I kept running into two problems:
Staring into the fridge with a random assortment of ingredients and no idea what to make.
Wanting to cook something specific, but needing the recipe in my native language or measurement system.
MyChefGPT solves this by letting you generate personalized recipes in two ways:
Idea Mode: Input a dish idea (like "spicy vegan chili") and let the AI build it.
Ingredient Mode: Dump in a list of ingredients you have (e.g., "chicken, rice, broccoli, soy sauce") and see what it creates!
Key Features:
Truly Multilingual: Generates recipes and instructions in 50 different languages (from English and Spanish to Thai and Arabic).
Metric/Imperial: Toggle between metric and imperial measurements instantly.
Recipe History: Log in to save your successful recipes in a personal history.
It's currently leveraging a powerful LLM to get detailed, well-structured, and (hopefully) delicious results.
I'd love for the HN community to break it, try some wild combinations, and tell me what you think. All feedback on the generation quality, the multilingual support, and the UI/UX is greatly appreciated!
