Lumethic verifies a photo by comparing the final JPEG to the camera’s RAW file. The RAW contains sensor-level noise and other physical characteristics that are difficult to fake, making it a strong source of truth.
The service runs several checks between RAW and JPEG: structural comparison, histogram analysis, perceptual hashing, metadata consistency, and face-region consistency when faces appear. If everything aligns within normal editing ranges, it generates a verification report and embeds a C2PA signature so other tools can validate it.
Basic edits like exposure, cropping, rotation, and color work are expected to pass. Scene changes usually fail.
The web UI requires no account and includes three free verifications. Upload a RAW and its JPEG and wait for the report. Example report: https://www.lumethic.com/shared/db4cf01b-4cdf-4a31-a897-5095...
RAW files are deleted after processing. The system uses C2PA, runs in the EU, includes a REST API for automation, and has a Lightroom Classic plugin.
Happy to answer questions about the verification process.
