Vibes.vc: Prediction Markets for the YC Batch

We're curious how accurate hype matches real investor valuations. And we built this to see people put their money where their mouth is, and make predictions on companies in the exact same way that VCs do.

This isn't a gambling site; everyone participating has free reign to do due diligence themselves before investing, or to just...not invest in any of them.

We will set a deadline of a month before the market automatically ends. If the company has not raised, we will just refund all the money back to you. If the company has raised, we will re-weight all the investments by how close they are to the final valuation; the closer you are, the more of the total you get.

We want to be clear that this isn't an attempt to make money on our part, or to even create a profitable business. This will probably never raise money or even become a real business. We're just really interested in if the public can give an actual sense of how well companies will do.

'Wait! We can't withdraw our money? What if you just take the money and run?!' Well see that's the point. We literally aren't allowed to do that because the MOMENT we do that, Stripe will call us a gambling site. We're working on finding a way to return money to you right now, but since we have no idea if this actually will have traction we just don't have time to get paybacks working (i promise we're working on it!)

(and if you see this, Stripe, pls don't ban us we're literally going to lose money for this experiment already)

Saying a rug pull scheme isn't a rug pull scheme does absolutely nothing.
