Skipping over the several very obviously wrong things she said, one perhaps non-obvious thing she got wrong was that the EU has installed more solar per capita than China.
China is the one following the European lead here. Not the other way round.
Triple the population but not triple the deployment, at least not quite yet.
The bit where the Chinese live are very similar to Europe in terms of insolation potential for PV.
They do have some big desert areas too but they're 150th in terms of countries with good solar potential.
Africa, Middle East, India, all of the Americas except Canada, Australia are all ahead on that measure of potential.
